Simulation research on heating system combining solar collector with ground-source heat pump in northeast China area

On the basis of the existing model on ground-source heat pump (GSHP) system, according to parallel and series operation modes, establishes the dynamic simulation model of the combined heating system. Simulates and analyses the influences of the operation modes, the ratio of the flow rate in underground heat exchanger to the total flow rate in heat pump and the flow rate of heat-carrying fluid on the efficiencies of underground heat exchanger and solar collector. The results show that the underground heat exchanger has higher efficiency in series operation mode, while the solar collector has higher efficiency in parallel operation mode. The efficiencies of underground heat exchanger and solar collector will increase with the increment of heat-carrying fluid flow rate, but the optimal flow rate should be set in the range of 0.85 to 1.00 kg/s. The ratio of the flow rate in underground heat exchanger to the total flow rate in heat pump should be set in the range of 0.6 to 0.8 in parallel operation mode.
